The congregation at Pergamum was modern, cultured and pluralistic. It sounds a lot like... many Canadian cities! It was renowned as a center for emperor worship, immorality and idolatry. Sadly, some of these same vices were making their way into the church. For this reason, the Lord of the Church uses stern language in addressing his people. How has compromise infected us?
