In this story, we see King Saul, the rule-bender, getting creative with the LORD's commands again. When asked to do something arguably difficult, in fact, very difficult, he chokes. Most of us can easily see ourselves reflected in the attitudes and actions of this flimsy Israelite ruler. Does God's treatment of Saul seem overly harsh?
