Hannah's boy, Samuel, was an exceptional lad. God thought so and so did other people. What helped Samuel stand out was the under-performance of people around him who should have known better. Since there are limits to even God's patience, it's not surprising that he eventually decided to do something about it. And when God acts in judgment... watch out!
