One of the rules among the pious Jews of Jesus' day was the avoidance of territories occupied by Gentile (read irreligious) people. Again, to show the folly of human tradition, Jesus ignored it when required - in this case, in order to minister to needy people. What traditions might we have to go against in order to 'do good'?
