 Sermon Based Life Groups are starting up in the 4th week of September this year! Our goal is to help Christians at all stages of their walk, to grow in their sanctification!
What is a SBLG (Sermon Based Life Group)? They are gatherings of people meeting in homes to study God's Word, where they experience:
- Growing (Loving Jesus)
- Belonging (Feeling accepted)
- Reaching Out (Following Jesus)

Auxano is the Greek word: αὐξάνω
which means ....
- to cause to grow, augment
- to increase, become greater
- to grow, increase
- of plants
- of infants
- of a multitude of people
- of inward Christian growth
Auxano is about discipleship for young adults age 18 and over. It is held on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
This fall it is starting on October 4th at the Matchbox Theatre in the Old Brew Building ( #110, 5301 - 43 Street, Red Deer).

On Sunday, January 10, the leadership and congregation of Balmoral Bible Chapel welcomed Shane Fox and his family into our "family". Shane has joined our pastoral staff and will initially focus on enhancing our discipleship and community outreach programs. Shane and his family have lived most of their lives in Red Deer. He formerly served as Senior High Pastor at Crossroads Church. For the last two years, he's been working in Medicine Hat with young adults. He describes his role in the Hat as an "Urban Pastor," involved in preaching, evangelism and discipleship. Shane believes God has called him into full-time ministry, is passionate about his faith, and has a reputation for reaching young people and young adults for Christ in innovative ways. People he has served with have described him as "a mover and a shaker", and have told us that "God uses Shane mightily wherever Shane is". We are looking forward to how God chooses to use Shane among us at Balmoral.
